Neuromed Imaging Diagnostic Center is set up. A civil medical society whose main object of activity is high performance magnetic resonance (MRI) and computer tomography (CT), starting its activity with imaging investigations carried out by MRI.

Opens the first private ambulance service in the west of the country, accredited by the Ministry of Health through the County Directorates of Public Health (DSP), which has in its structure both the emergency medical care department and assisted/unassisted medical transport. In the same year, the first CT computer is purchased.

The second MRI, Siemens model, is purchased.

On a Siemens Somatom Sensation 64 multislice Computer Tomograph – at that time being the peak of investigative technique in the world – Dr. Grațian Miclăuș performed the first CT angiocoronarography in Neuromed Timișoara and, implicitly, in Romania.

SCM Neuromed continues its development by inaugurating a working point located on Liviu Rebreanu Blvd. no. 104, Timisoara, whose object of activity is radiology, ultrasound and mammography services.
In the same year, SCM Neuromed opens a new office in Caransebeș, the investigations being carried out on a Siemens CT device.

One of the two existing Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) devices is replaced with a new one, the Siemens Avanto model. With this device, the first investigations in Romania in the field of brain spectroscopy and functional MRI were performed.

The Neuromed Center is accredited by Siemens Germany as the fifth “Training Medical Center” in Europe.

The prestigious publishing house Springer Swiss Publishing House published the CT Angiography Atlas, having as authors two of our elite doctors, Mr. Miclaus Gratian Dragoslav and Assoc. Dr. Habil Ples Horia, later reissued in 2019.

Significant advances in the field of medical imaging and staff experience have allowed for the first time, within our center, the investigation of CT-guided transthoracic puncture.

The equipment owned is renewed with a new MRI device, top of the range at the time of purchase: MRI SIEMENS MAGNETOM AMIRA 1.5T.

One of the most advanced computed tomography devices in the west of the country, SOMATOM go.Now ®, top of the range of the renowned Siemens company, is purchased for Neuromed Caransebes

The Specialty Ambulatory of the Neuromed clinic is inaugurated, in which a number of 11 clinical specialties operate, as follows: neurology, neurosurgery, thoracic surgery, endocrinology, rheumatology, cardiology, gastroenterology, general surgery, orthopedics and traumatology, nephrology, psychiatry.

The Neuromed office in Caransebes closes.

As part of the development strategy, this year, a collection point is opened for medical tests inside the Neuromed Specialty Outpatient Clinic. An osteodensimotry device (DEXA) is also purchased.
